 Blue Grass Show

November 18, 2017, 2017

On Saturday, November 18th, there will be a Blue Grass concert at the Strand Theater in Moundsville, with all proceeds going to Helping Heroes.

 


 Softball Tournament

November 4, 2017

On Saturday, November 11th (Veterans Day), we will be hosting our 3rd annual fundraising kickball tournament, held at the fields on 12th Street in Moundsville, WV. Entry fee is $225 per team. This highly competitive tournament has improved each year and brings in some of the best teams in the Tri-state area. All proceeds will come back to Helping Heroes. Awards will be given to the top 2 teams. Contact Helping Heroes today before it’s too late.



 Continuing Education Workshop (Understanding Today’s Veteran)

November 3, 2017

Helping Heroes’ Chief Operations Officer, Jeremy Harrison, MSW, LICSW, will be facilitating a 2 hour Continuing Education Workshop from 1-3. This workshop will focus on understanding today’s veterans, their needs, and treatment considerations. The workshop is open to all human service fields. and interested community members. Applications have been submitted so that the workshop can meet the WV licensing requirement for Social Work and Counseling. Should either be denied and you do not want to attend as a result, you will be reimbursed (note that the presenter has been approved multiple times in the past for both). The cost for this course is $25.  A Night To Remember

May 18th, 2018

Helping Heroes will be hosting their 4th annual signature event, “A Night to Remember,” at Generations Restaurant & Pub at 5:30pm. This fun and focused evening was designed to remember many things, including service members lost in battle, veterans that have committed suicide, and the homeless veteran population, among other things. Tickets to the event are $30 or 2 for $50. Tickets can also be purchased for veterans that may not be able to afford to go. Tickets include a great dinner, entertainment, and the opportunity to go away with some great prizes. Tickets can be purchased online at www.etix.com or at one of the Helping Heroes offices.
